Class Notes: We're in front of screens most of our waking hours scrolling through TikToks and the like, watching independent and big budget films, and recounting movies of the mind when we wake up. This course assembles films, some plays and a novel, coursebook chapters, and lectures designed to address how meaning is created by the combination of cinematic style and narrative elements. While we only meet once a week, ENG 124.001 requires a substantial amount of reading and out of class screenings.
